Mowing lawn with the Super A, Engine says good bye. A missin and a smokin. Have had it for 6yrs used it hard and smoked when I got it. So rebuild time will probably paint it too. Who makes the best kits for the engine? If I use the rattle cans will the paint be hard enough for regular use?

O.K., I'll answer the other question, go to your case-IH dealer, and buy the IH red #2150 in spray cans, and it will look and last just like the original paint that came on your tractor, and you will not have spent an arm and a leg doing it.

why not go with an IH kit. That way you know the parts were designed with your tractor in mind. A good quality aftermarket kit will also do well (clevite, Sealed Power, TRW).

I found that most internet engine kits are around the same price. If you go to your local supplier they should be able to match them, they will just have to cut their margins a little. They may also have a machine shop that can do the valves, seals and wrist pins. This way you have one source for all.

My 2 cents
Brian.
