I have a 1949 Aillis-Chalmers C with a IH magneto, I checked The Mag. Ciol with an ohms meter and it's not open, but it still isn't working, it will run off an outside coil hooked up to the Magneto's kill wire, on the side of the mag., can anyone on the farmall side help?

Thomas, take off the cover over the coil, clean the 2 contacts, one on the coil one on the cover. Look closely and make sure they line up when the cover is replaced. Make sure the contact to the coil wire in the cap is not corroded. If that doesn't do it it's probably a weak coil. Hope this helps.
