I own a I/H 300 Utility (prob 1956?) (4cyc gas)
I am looking for specs such as Horsepower, engine size, and a way to verify its year (serial # ?)

(It has the torque amplifier, fast hitch and a Lord
loader)
I've been told there aren't many around. Is that true?

As you can tell I'm new to tractors. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Tom

From what I have seen on this board there are still a lot of them going strong.I have one and except for a few minor repairs it is a work horse. dave

1) HP - 41.26 = PTO --- 37.36 = drawbar
2) Engine size = 169 CI
3) Serial # = On a plate located in the general area above the oil filter.
4) There were 33,000+ made but I don't know how many are still around.

Serial # 20218 or lower -> 1955, otherwise 1956. If you can't find the plate, look on the major casting for stamps looking like MM*DD*A, where MM is month, DD is day, and A or B stands for 1955 or '56, respectively.
