What Trans fluid in 400?

I havent my manual yet. I plan on using this thing this weekend maybe.

How many quarts in the engine?

What kind and how much in the trans. The rear ends gona have to wait. Out of money :-)

farmall 300 takes 7 gal. 400 can't be much more if any

The M is a much larger tractor than the 300, M takes 13 gallons, SMTA up, because of the TA probably takes a little more.

8 quarts of a good quality oil in motor.

Case/IH Hy-Tran Fluid in the tranny. Not sure of the amount.

If my memory serves me right it takes 13 gallons, the TA, tranny and rear end all are inter-connected.
