My sons & I are preparing to purchase a trailer to haul some of our "toys".
Has anyone purchased a PJ brand of trailer?
I believe they are made in Texas. The one I have looked at appeared to be decent quality and at a reasonable price.
Does anyone have a brand preference for trailers?
Thank you for your comments.

Just be careful. In my experience all my trailers tend to become 2' too short after using them several times. Better to buy one a little longer than you figure you need.

I bought a PJ 30 foot gooseneck last year with tandem duals, spare tire, third ramp, and toolbox. I looked at a lot of trailer brands and also thought of building one myself. You can't build a trailer of that quality for anywhere near the price and I felt that the PJ trailer was a better built unit than most of the others. They offer many options for thier trailers so be sure to get a hold of a brochure or visit the web site to see what they offer. Shop around, prices from various dealers vary greatly. I got prices for my trailer that ranged from $6,000.00 to about $11,000 based on the same specs. It pays to shop around. Also my trailer as big as it is, is very comfortable to tow. It tracks very nicely. Now is the time to start shopping around. If you find a trailer that fits your needs you may have good luck getting a good deal on it. Many dealers don't want last years trailers sitting on the lot over winter. Bought mine around the end of October last year and was able to talk the dealer down quite bit from his original asking price. Also the tri axle trailers tend to be a little tough on tires when making low speed turns. Have a few friends that complain of that problem with thier trailers. I'm glad that I opted for the duals. Good luck

I ordered a PJ last year. Got a few options, including the torsion springs, instead of leaf, stretched to 28ft, so I can haul two tractors with ease, spare tire, and for an extra $50, round things were welded in the side bar all theway around to ease in strapping down. I got the whole thing for $4950, less money than "off the lot" different brand 25 footer. I'm very pleased with mine

I recently looked at several trailer brands at the Farm Science Review in Ohio last week. I am also in the market for a trailer. The two trailer brands to me that stood out were the PJ and the Moritz if you've seen them. The PJ rep. told us all their trailers were manufactured in Texas. I am looking for a bumper pull trailer in the 14K range. The price ranges for similar trailers from the different brands is amazing, while the build quality seems relatively similar. I was thoroughly impressed with the PJ trailer. I am going to see a local guy about building one, and unless he really really impresses me I am going to go with a PJ.

I have a 30' PJ tri-axle gooseneck. Very good quality. PJ trailers are made in various facilites. Texas is one of them. I believe there might be one in Mexico also. If you are buying new - make sure the dealer makes you aware of all the options available. Also, don't forget to keep the Combined Gross Vehicle Weight under 26,001 pounds or you will need a Commercial Drivers License (Class A) when the tow vehicle and trailer are attached. Are you looking at bumper pull or gooseneck??

I have an 18 foot PJ trailer with the a 2 foot dovetail and am very happy with it. It is rated @ 7000# gross weight. I haul my 5500# Super M on it and it handles it well. Technically it is 500# overloaded but the springs and tires look fine when it is loaded.
