Can anyone tell me anything about the International 144 diesel (if there even is such a beast?)? Thanks, SAm in NS

Sam: Not 100% sure, but I believe that is the cubic inch displacment of the British diesels used in B-250, B-275, etc. Tough little diesel but not very well climatized to North American winter starting when they first came out. I think they have upgraded them over years at rebuild time. Some of them actually start quite well now.

Thanks Hugh, that was about what I managed to find out. I met a chap recently who drives an "International 144" which sounded somewhat fishy to me which is why I asked. I don't suppose you'd happen to know what size rivets I need for my sickle bar mower. I'm sure that if I use it I'll need to make some more. I'll email you about my trip when as soon as I can. Thanks, SAm in NS
