I just started collecting tractors and have found quite a few AV, A, 100, 140, and a couple of M and HV models but not any that use propane. The M is the only one that is listed in my book as a propane tractor. Do any other models use propane? How rare are the propane models? Are they worth more than gas models? Thanks for your time. Glen

LPG tractors were very common and the fuel of choice for many farmers in the Mississippi Delta, Louisiana, Texas, and some other areas untill well into the 60's. The Super M was the first IHC tractor with factory LPG but many were converted before it was introduced. Also many cotton pickers and combines in the above areas were also factory LPG fuel machines. Value is in the eye of the beholder. Some like LPG tractors and would pay more and some would not let you give them a LPG tractor.

I have a propane tank and regulater for an H but I believe it is aftermarket. Someday I may find an H to mount it on.

There were no small (A,B,C,etc) tractors with factory propane. I believe the Super M was the 1st, and all larger models 300, 400, up etc were available with propane until diesel killed it off. Some models are relatively rare, don't know if it adds to the value -- now if you find a Super MV-TA with the LPG option, that may be a different story.
