I have been told that super H where made in 1952, 1953 and 1954. I have also been told the early 53's do not have live oil and battery under seat. The late 53's do have live oil and battery under seat like the 54's do. Can someone help me. Thanks Don

I have a late 1953 Super H that is a transitional tractor between the stage I and stage II Super H's. It has some of the features of the later Super H's like the different front casing, but no live hydraulics. They must have made some changes in stages. Roger

I've seen SH's like that too. Thing to do is check serial # and casting date codes.

Guy, you need to read your Data Book daily like I do. You said the Super H didn't start till 1953. You're too young to have CRS like me (which is why I have to read your Data Book every day).

You're right- not doing the writing and research anymore is causing some of that stuff to slip away.

About the only research mat'l I have here at work is My 2000 FARMALL TRACTORS calender by Randy Leffingwell. It says the H production was discontinued 1-26-1953 and HV 2-3-1953. The Super H and SHV were both discontinued 10-22-54. FAMRALL was so busy making parts for Super M's & SM-TA's I think the daily rate on SH's & SHV's combined was only like 25-30 total per day. Remember only what?, 77 SHV's were built so maybe 1 per week average on them.
