I have a '41 H that I need to buy a wiring harness for. Now the regulator is just hanging at the back of the motor. The starter switch is on top of the starter. Where should the regulator be located at? Where can I get a wiring harness?

Thanks, Adam

Adam,
I think a '41 might have had cutout mounted on the generator instead of a regulator, assuming you want to stay original.

My H has a regulator mounted on the rear tank support, but I've seen them stuck on the generator and on the right front tank support.

You can get a harness at OEM, call 1 800 283 2122, or Bates, www.batescorp.com. If you have a soldering iron and a crimper, you could probably do the whole thing cheaper after visiting a local hardware store - but they wouldn't be the original type wires.
