Question on 1206 engine??

I was wondering if you can take and bore out the dt361 to put in 407 sleeves??? and if so what crank rod and pistions can be used can I just buy the dt407 rebuild kit and put it in??? was looking for a dt407 but if I can build the dt361 in it I rather do that. going to make it a farm stock puller. any help you give would be great.Thanks Jeremy

You can bore them out further than that. I have a buddy who is running in the neighborhood of 440 cu. in. Don't remember what crank and pistons his is running. It will be a long time before this one sees the fields again. Fun to watch it run in Hot Farm. It will pull in High 3rd.

One thing to remember is that the 361 in stock form can be turned up to some amazing levels by just playing with the turbo. One of my brothers screwed with the turbo on ours and had it putting out 200+ hp, and that was in a field tractor. Sad to say the transmission couldn't handle that kind of abuse.
