Can anyone help me with a part number?
In the governor there is a small thrust bearing.....In my I&T IH 8 manual, it is not labeled as an individual part but as an assembly (fig IH 390 # 2, Sleeve and thrust bearing)

The assembly is 3 different pieces, a longer sleeve that rides against the weight assembly, the thrust bearing in the middle and then another sleeve that rides against the rockshaft lever.

When I had the governor apart to start cleaning it, a couple of the ball bearings fell out of the thrust bearing..... ..although I put them back in, I'm afraid that they will fall out later during operation and would just like to replace it.
Can anyone that has a parts manual tell me if I can get this bearing or will I have to find and buy all three parts?(I don't have a IH/Case dealer near my area to ask)
Anyone have an extra bearing they would part with?
It looks like the A,B and C series are all the same.
I have enabled my e mail address !

Thanks Gary

Don't fool around trying to fix it or buy just the center part. It comes in a package of all three pieces. I believe Burmuda Ken on here can help you out. I think he is an IH dealer that can send you parts by mailorder. I believe the bearing is about $8 or so.

Replace it. You don't want to loose your pump, bearings, or gears when the balls get sucked up in the oil pump and ran through the engine or get lodged in the timing gears. This is my $0.02 worth. Take it or leave it.

I happen to have the thrust bearing sitting on the shelf for a project I'm working on. The part number is 43481D. It is a small kit that includes 3 pieces, the center ring with all the ball bearings, and two outer races. Each piece is only about 1/8" thick.

If no CNH dealer nearby, take the old ball thrust bearing to a local industrial bearing supply house. They can very likely find you a replacement.

Hi Gary, Take the bearing and prick punch the race so the ball stays in place.
