Serial number has to be 99536-106517 for it to be a white demo Cub. Others were 281269-285298 for the Super A, and 47010-54411 for the C. There were no white H or M demonstrators.

Will be putting a White Demo Cub on e bay tomorrow. Adding a P.T.O. should not be difficult

It would be interesting to learn why it doesn't already have a PTO. It should have been standard on a true demonstrator. Does the transmission/differential case have an "S" or "T" casting code just slightly ahead and above the level plug on the left side?

GEORGE I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE LETTERS ON THE CASTING. CAN YOU PUT IN A PTO, IT HAS THE LEVER BESIDE THE SEAT FOR IT.

I learned a little while ago that a demonstrator will have an upside down "L" cast into the transmission housing.

Yes, you should be able to put one in. It had one originally. My question about casting codes was because of the possibility the trans/differential has been replaced by one from a Cub Cadet. Since it has the lever, the plot thickens.

Look for the letter on the left side of the transmission case. It should look like this...*1*20*T* The last digit should be S ot T.

The 1950 promotional white tractors were Cubs, Super A's and C's, not H's or M's, if I remember right. Check your serial number, it has to be an early 1950 to have been part of that deal. There have been articles in Red Power Magazine over the past year or so by Guy Fay describing the program and the serial numbers involved. Seems to me that there are a lot of white "1950 demonstrator" tractors around. Don't seem to be too rare.
Sometimes tractors were painted colors other than red by customer request too, not just as part of a demonstrator program.

In 1950, IH had a dealer promotion...some sort of "mid-century" thing, where dealers had demo ("demonstrator," not "demolition") tractors that were painted white...some were factory, some were dealer paint jobs. I've seen pics my dad had of H's and M's, but I never saw a white '50 Cub...though I guess they might have done Cubs, too.
