Got the H out and on my 12' JD disk today. The wife gave me strict orders to level the tomato plants and corn stalks in the garden.

The H ran great, pulled the disk in 3rd gear no problem. I'll try to post a pic, hope I don't get the dreaded "red x". If all else fails, click the link for my H photo album.

It's a shame you cut the hood to mount the alt.....
change of pulleys, belt and building a new mounting bracket would have taken care of it.....

Don, when I got the tractor it was already cut. I sure like the reliability of the alternator, but the hood looks like crap. When I get around to painting, I'd like to find a different hood or make a piece to weld back in there.

Actually, I think the alternator on the tractor now would clear the hood without any mods.

Hey, Just incase your interested. Last winter I purchased a new to me hood for my H.
This winter I am going to redo it and put it on my H. The one on my H will be for sale. Its not perfect and you would need to save some of the springs off yours.
It does have some welds where it had been repaired. You can see it its where the H sticker is in the photo. Been painted and has the stickers. Email me if you are interested.
Not going to mess with it till this winter but it will be only $35 + shipping if you can wait.

Nice pics - I am surprised the H handles a 12 ft disk. I thought a 10 ft was about the limit. Any problems?

No problem as far as power goes, traction isn't the greatest though. I'd like to have some wheel weights for the rears. It spins some now, and the tires really wrinkle when the disk is about 4" in the ground!!

Yes I do.
Epson wont let you link to photos on thier web site. Most dont, They dont get ad revenue unless they can show thier pop up ads and such.
So they block that sort of thing.
