I have an international 300, that is difficult to get into gear. I have adjusted the clutch according to insructions in I/H shop manual. the amplifier clutch linkage is disconnected,as I don't use it. does this have to be connected with the clutch linkage? Can anyone give me some pointers on this? Once the enitial gear mesh is made, I can shift gears, but it is very hard to get it in gear at first. Thanks for any input Willy Owens

I think what is happening is with out the TA linkage operating the TA is acting like a flywheel so it takes time for the gears to stop turning. I can't believe it is not hanging in gear when yoy try and pull it out.

ACES thanks for the info. I will hook the T.A. back up and see what happens. No it does not hang up when I take it out of gear. I will keep you informed of my progress.C.Willy.
