One of the engine oil drain petcocks on my F-20 has begun to leak, leaving an annoying spill on the floor. The petcocks are closed tight and the oil level is correct. I haven't taken them apart yet. Does anybody know the procedure for making them leak-proof?

Hi this might work if it is leaking from where it screws into the oil pan. Take the petcock out and either get some plumers tape and tape it up real good (if you do this make sure you wrap it the opposite way to the left so it won't become unwraped when you screw it in) Or you can get some plumers 'dope' and put that on there real good and screw it in tight. If it isnt leaking from where it goes into the oil pan you can buy new ones from Stevens Ag Parts out of Lousiana for $4.95 each. You could probably call them and they would send ya a catalog there number is 1-800-333-9143. Hope it works!!

Good luck rustywallace2
