My 826 is slobbering oil out of the exhuast, is this normal? I've put 25 hours on it hauling in silage and the oil level has dropped from full to half way between full and add. The tractor seems to be up to operating temp but it is never under any load to speak of and spends about half the time idling while I unload. Don't know what it does under a load, haven't had it long enough to find out.

wet oil out the exhaust is a result of engine oil draining down the exhaust valve stem. Otherwise, the oil would have been burned and exit as smoke

JW, My ol 966 will slobber oil some when I have idled around the place doing light work. Especially not requireing high RPMs or loads. Go plow one of your fields for half a day. She will quit! Put her through the paces. OBTW use a good multi-wt oil, 15-40. My personal favorite flavor is Chevron, Dello 400.
Good luck,
John A.

JW That is not normal put some IH No. 1 engine oil in it and work it hard a good hour on a dyno would most liky stop that many guys use a 10W30 or 15W40 oil in the IH They work best on straight 30.

I think that is quite normal. I bet it dries up if you work it.
