Dave, There maybe a few of them around but alot do not work. My H has a Heisler which is engaged with a cable .M+W was engaged with a control arm and also had a arm that disengaged the hydrualic pump because with the 9 speed engaged it doubles the speed of your pto and your pump which was pretty hard on pumps...fyi Tim K.

These were not factory options, but were made by M&W, Heisler, and maybe some other aftermarket suppliers. They generally doubled the speed of gears 1-4 and reverse, and were called "9-speed" transmissions. They aren't rare, but most old Farmall tractors don't have them.

As far as overdrive, I have seen a total of one, and that was on an M we traded for a 460D when I was ten. It had been purchased new in 1951. I have never seen them advertised w/od on sale bills. I would call them rare.

I did not know they were aftermarket items, as a more knowledgeable poster said.
