When I tore down my '50 C, I patted myself on the back for putting EVERYTHING in nicely labeled zip lock baggies. Well, I still lost some parts...

After two weeks of looking, I can't find the two little things that hold the distributor from the sides. They're both bolted to a cast piece that connects to the block. If I remember correctly, you'd loosen these a bit in order to rotate the distributor to advance/retard the timing. Since I've got every other part to the distributor and its housing, I'd just as soon not buy a whole new setup. Has anyone rigged up a workaround? I'm trying to get really creative here: maybe I could JBWeld some flat washers together then file down one side to the curved edge that would match the distributor...

Thanks!

do you have any salvage yards or friends with junk tractors? lots of delco distributers use the same clip. I might even have extras.

Keep looking for the parts. You will never be satisfied with a rig.
