Tractor sat two years without running. When owner shut it down it shut itself down. His words.
Have fresh fuel, new filter, new fuel lines, bled entire system and can't get any flow throught the pump. When I disconnect the line to the fuel return on top of the pump, nothing comes out when cranking the engine. Nothing is flowing through the lines to the injectors either. Any one have some ideas?

Morning Bob.
Just a thought. I'm not familiar with the 340D motor but, if it has the same type of fuel pump as my 660D, I had big trouble getting it bled. I was told to lightly pressurize the fuel tank with compressed air while cranking the motor, and it worked. A lot of people might shudder at the thought of pressurized fuel tanks, but like most things in life we do, it just needs a bit of care while your doing it. Hope this is of some help. Regards, Redfan.

since it sat for two years, there is a possibility that the fuel varnished up and has stuck the shutoff pin inside the pump.you can take the rectangular cover off and make sure the governor controls will move with the throttle lever.
