Oil Pressure on Farmall C

I have reworked the engine in a Farmall C (c123). After replacing rings, rod bearings and main bearings and all gaskets, I have no oil pressure. I removed the oil pump and looked it over. Seems to be solid with no warps in the flat plate. (I replaced the thin gasket.)
Any ideas of what might be the problem?
Thanks a million!

Do what Brian said. You can also just leave the gauge out and start up believe me the oil will fly out if the pump is working. I saw a c once that would do that with no pressure. (Still could have been the gauge). If you had pressure before you reworked it you have to start looking so try the pump in tractor or a bucket and go from there.

I had a dirt dobber attack on mine. Check the hole where the guage screws in you might be supprised.

Also check the oil pressure guage. I have seen these stop working for no reason at all. Just throw in a cheap gauge temporarly to check it out.

Prime the oil pump then restart the engine. These pumps have a hard time self priming.
