Problem With 2-14 IH 3-point Plow

I recently bought an IH plow that's not working out well.I need to identify itas well as figure out a problem. It's a two-bottom, 2-14 3-point. The frame attaches to a drawbar via a couple of big clamps. When plowing, it just pulls out from the clamps no matter how tight I crank them down. It seems like a cheesy setup and I wonder if it's an adaptation. I bought it at an auction and there were several other identical plows for sale. Any ideas, O-IH-Braintrust?

Jim: Do you have the equipment to post a picture of this plow? What make and model of tractor are you using? What is the center to center setting of your rear tractor wheels? Does this plow have a tail wheel or long landside on rear bottom? Are you trying to use stabilizers thus trying to hold the plow rigid?

I rather doubt that your plow is cobbled up hitch, as you stated several identical plows at auction. My guess is your problem lies in settings and wear parts or a combination of both. My opinion is if anyone is going to help we need more info. Answer the above questions will give a start.

Thanks for your reply. I tried posting a link to my pics but there's some sort of glitch. To directly answer, it's a Ford 2810 tractor (pleeeese don't glaze over on me now!) with the wheels set at 60 inches center to center and yes, it does have rigid (though adjustable) stabilizers. The plow has no tailwheel and I'm not sure if it has a long landslide, not being familiar with IH plows.
