I recently took off the magneto on my 1947 Farmall A. The problem is that while the mageneto was off the engine was turned over a few times. How do I know when the first piston is on its compression stroke, that way I can turn the magneto to the point where it is going to send the spark to piston one? Or is there a more easy way of doing this? Like are there marks on the magneto or anything that will make this more easy. Any help on this would be greatly appriciated.
-Thanks

crank the engine over slowly untill you feel compresion with your thumb in the #1 spark plug hole. then use a piece of wire to tell when piston gets to top as you continue cranking. then line up mag so rotor is pointing to #1 (2 o'clock position) points should be just starting to open. attach wires 1342 clockwise.
