Our SMTA has pressure of 1000 psi which is not adequate for our purposes. What is involved to increase the pressure and how high can it go with damaging the system - is 2000 psi to high? Clarence

You don't want mush over 1200PSI as Bob said, and you can't adjust the pressure but the relif could be get weak and new apring may help.

Clarence - There is no pressure "adjustment" per se - only a relief valve in the reservoir tank that limits pressure to 1,200 psi. However I'll caution you against jacking the relief valve pressure beyond it's factory setting! Even at 1,200 psi it's hard on the cam drive gear - if you go higher there's a very high risk breaking the hub out of the cam gear or stripping something in the timing gear train.

If you're getting only 1,000 psi out of the hydraulics it means either the pump is wearing out or you've got the wrong oil in the system.
