Hay!! Can someone tell me the horse power of a Farmall "C". I want to purchase a 9 foot haybine to cut tall grass. Also, will the "C" generate enough rpms in first gear to handle the job?

Just because the haybine is 9ft dont mean you have to take a full cut.

18.5 Horse Power on the Draw Bar and 20.5 Horse Power on the PTO.

Suggest you look for something with more HP.

An H would have 25.5 Horse Power on the Draw Bar and 27.9 Horse Power on the PTO.

I cut some green graze for a guy once with a 479 NH it was very mature and some of it in a ditch bottom was as tall as the muffler on my Farmall 460D 1st gear TA back black smoke boiling. C would be under powered on it.
