C Farmall sat for about two years. Got it running and have had problems every since. I know when I finally get it in running order it will be a good tractor. My current problem is with the carb. I cleaned it up and had to replace a cracked float but now it won't run unless the choke it on full blast. I tried adjusting the screw for air but there seems to be no difference. Does anyone have any ideas on what the soultion is.

Ben, I had the same trouble with Dad's C which had sat for a couple years prior to his passing. When I began the task of trying to get it running I discovered I had rust, etc throughout the fuel system. Make sure you have good flow to inlet on carb. There is a screen in inlet elbow and check screen in sediment bowl. Until you have a good flow to carb it will not run correctly. Many have taken steel line off and temporarily placed a automotive type filter in line with carb to catch rust, etc until tank gets flushed out. I ended up having to remove tank and clean scale out and even then took a while to get everything flushed out. If in fact you do have good flow to carb, and the inlet screen is clean you likely have something in a small passage in carb....been there as well.

It was clogged in the elbow. Never checked it untill reading a message posted by FC. However the carbs internal parts are as clean as they can get. Thanks
