KFG: Buy it regardless of the serial number, well make sure it is a Super A serial number. If you have a Super A1 so much the better. I have sold sets of those cultivators for half that.

Check the serial number, if it is 353348-357958, it is a Super A. If it is 356001-357958 it is a Super A-1, with the C123, larger radiator and water pump, made only in 1954. BUY IT.

I paid 1500 for a 52 SA just last month, it also has a most of the cultivator attachments. In pretty good shape over all. Someone had painted the sheetmetal, which looked to be rusty, but not rusted through. They didn't bother to paint any of the frame, engine, trans, etc. So it's sort of two tone right now. It has an old 3 point conversion and the drawbar is missing. I ended up having to get the generator rebuilt, but over all seems to be a good tractor, and for my area it is a good price. I'm in south central Virginia. I'd have to say you are in the ball park, but price depends a lot on where you are located.

Doesn't sound too bad to me, especiall with rebuilt engine, if it was a good overhaul.
