Looking for information about the heads used on a C113 motor. In the process of rebuilding the engine and the pistons removed were flat top's which at TDC were flush with the deck of the block. The head is a closed chamber type and the valves sit deep into the casting. Looking at pistons for sale it seems that some use a rised dome that are stated to fit steped heads. Could some explain what the difference is in a steped head vs. a standard head. Would love to get a little more compression to give me a little more H.P.

I think the stepped head they are talking about isn't the cylinder head, but the head of the piston having a raised step as opposed to flat, dished or domed. Like Gene said, go for the overbore stepped head P&S kit. Important measurement is the sleeve OD at the point that the O-ring seals near the bottom. It should be either 3 5/16" for the 3 to 3 1/8" overbore kit, or or 3 7/16" for the 3 1/8 to 3 1/4" overbore kit.
