This SMTA has a loader and box blade. I have a new set of 4 ply 12.4 X 38's that I could put on it. It has 13.6 X 38's on it. What size should I have on it? Thank You

your tractor almost certainly has eleven inch rear rims and the 12.4 tires would work well, but if you are going to use this tractor hard and a lot of hours the four ply tires will eventually come apart with that heavy of a load.i have two super mta's and one has 13.6 and the other has 14.9 rear tires.

The Super M I used to have had 14.9 x 38. The 400D I had 15.5 x 38. my 460D has 15.5 x 38. I would not want any smaller than 14.9 besides they ride easier.

Go for 15.5x38 or 16.9x38.

use loaded 30.5.32 firestones for loader work..cant beat them and they'll bolt right on your SMTA with the right rims..

4 ply may not be heavy enough for loader work.
I agree with the others on size, nothing less than 13.6.

Glen: I would go larger than the 12.4. The rims on tractor are probably designed for 13.6. Many of those tractors have 14.9 or 15.5 on them today.

13.6 on my M loader. I wouldn't want any smaller.

I had 12.4 on my M which was setting under an old F-10 Farmhand cable loader. No problems. I think the 12.4 let the rear of the tractor set lower and therefore put more weight on the rear tires.
