fuel delivery problem

I have finished restoring an 0-4 international. It has the same engine as an H Farmall. I did all the necessary mechanical repairs before I started on the cosmetic part.

Got the tractor back together, all painted up, looks like a million, {bragging}.

THEN, it wouldn't start, no gas. I can not get gas to flow to the carburator. I did everything, blowed out the lines that I had cleaned previously, changed filters, sediment bowl was clean and has no screen.

I was thinking that when I painted the tractor, and the carburator, I may have plugged an external vent hole on the carb, which would cause a back pressure in the line. The tank has about 3 gallons of gas in it, obviously, the more gas, the more pressure. This shouldn't be a problem, it ran perfect with less gas in it then that before the cosmetic work.

When I have a problem that I can't figure out, I have a friend who is smarter then me look at it, and he is stumped also. I still feel dumb though.

Any ideas guys??

Did the same thing on a 1940 H one time, found out the inlet hole in the sediment bowl was hopelessly plugged. A new sediment bowl assembly from my case-I.H. dealer was about $15. After learning that, I don't even mess with the old ones anymore.

Disconnect your fuel line at the carb check if you have fuel flow to that point if you do your carb inlet needle is probably stuck closed.

Check to see if the holes in the base of the sediment bowl are plugged. Take the bowl off, run a piece of tag wire or similar thru the holes where the gas should come out. Could be gork & mung plugging the holes. If it is really bad the standpipe in the tank may be plugged.
