I came across a pump ,CharLynn, for my M that was on an H. Well it will not fit on my tractor. What would a pump (actually trip loader, resevor tank, and pump ) like this be worth? I am going to see if I can get it to fit my M but if I do need to sell I need a fair price. It would have been great to have live hydraulics. Any have any ideas on fitting it?
thanks in advance
tj

I CONVERTED MY SUPER-M TO LIVE HYDRAULICS BY TAKING A PUMP OFF FROM A 450. iT BOLTS ON IN PLACE OF THE ADAPTER FOR THE DISTRIBUTOR.

If you can't make the pump fit on the timing cover, you could fabricate your own brackets and hang the pump under the engine. It would have to be belt driven off the crankshaft pulley.

As far as the loader, I also have a triploader for my H that I tried to sell. I had asked $300 or best offer. I still own it. There's not much of a market for those old loaders. Truth be told, they're just a little better than a shovel.

Just curious, how much did you give for the pump? Is it the kind that mounts to the timing cover in front of the distributor?

Sorry for the delay Jailkeeper. Yes it is a pump that fits as you describe. The only reason I bought the loader was for the pump; I wanted to give my M live hydraulics. If you know anyone looking for a nice pump to make an H live have them contact me. I realize the loader is really not of interest to too many folks. I should be able to find a use for two cylinders that long though! Also got the resevior tank with Char Lynn stamped on it- don't know if this wuld add value?
regards,
tj
