I have a 450 that I changed the rim on. I have the cast iron lugs as tight as I can get them and the rim still slips back and forth as you pull forward and backward anybody else had this problem

one rim was loose on my M loader tractor and I wedged some shims under the lugs and that was years ago.

Yes I changed my 756 from 15.5 38,s to 18.4 38,s and the lugs wouldn't tighten the rims for a long time I cut strips of sheet metal and put between the lug and wheel with time they would wear out just a while back my son who is a pro welder, got some nickel cast and laid several beads on the surface of the lug that tightens again the wheel at this time it is working very good. One bead thickness makes a very big difference.

Are there any breaks or cracks on the lugs? I had to replace all the lugs on a 300 once, due to the curved tip being broken or cracked. The other thing that can happen is if someone in past let it go long enough to wear the rim.
