Hi all, Does any body have any information on the international B-275 tractor? Was it a good tractor? Also, how many HP were they? Thanks, TractorMike

Good tractor but the starter and other electrical is getting extremely expensive. Some models had more common starters, I believe the Lucas is the high priced one ($700) but I could be wrong.

Hi Mike,

The B275 was made by IH over in England. IH started importing them in the late 1950's. I've seen a few here in NC and they have all been diesels with the 8 speed transmission and live pto. 3-point hitch was standard on them too I think.
According to Guy Fay's book Farmall Tractors in the 1950's, HP was 35 and standard features were the diesel, 8-speed tranny, 3-point hitch, independent pto, 12v electrics, and a differential lock.
The only bad thing I have heard about them is that parts are a little tought to get.

Hope this helps,
Chad
