There are two types of converion bars, straight 26" and bent 32"

How do you know which to use?

rad,You do not want the ball type ends,they are very hard to hook up. Look for u shaped end that has a latch over the U. I think a guy named Tony C----- sell them,I foumd him on the AC page. lol kjm

The 26 and 32 refer to the spacing between the pins on the equipment you would hitch to. On this set-up it can't be adjusted.

Oh, thank you very much, I had no idea.

Is it correct then that 26 inch is CAT I and 32 is CAT II ?

I get the impression that the balls can somehow be used on both cat I and cat II, so I'm not sure about this either.

Mine have both catI and catII on the same balls (two holes), you takes yer pick! You will have to be choosey as to what impliments you get for your tractor, as the poster below observes, there is no adjustment on the tractor for width. However, you may be able to fudge things a bit on the machine with longer threaded pins, washers or other shims. Use your imagination!
