How readily available are parts to overhaul the lift unit on a Super A. This is excluding the pump. All I want to do is overhaul the unit on top of the torque tube. How difficult a job is this? How expensive?

The kit is readily available from IH... around $100 bucks for a pile of O-rings and gaskets. I did one on a Farmall C which of course is nearly identicle. I'm not a novice mechanic, nor am I an expert, the job took alot of care. Take everything apart, and lay them out on a bench like you removed them... replace all the orings, reassemble with lots of oil on the rings. It is not an easy job, nor is it a job that the average Joe can't handle... just take your time, and you will be successful, and proud of your work when everything comes out wonderful....

Dave: I have never done one of these units. I understand also a good set of instructions come with the kit. One of these days the law of averages is going to catch me.

There is a better exploded view picture in the I&T manual
