The M's had very short coupler that had to go in with the pump once in there it could not fall out but loose the H having a longer coupler with cotter pins abd the sleeve on each end is loose should be able to move it after it is in place never now one to make any noies.

Question, how tight is your driveshaft between the drive dogs, can you shake it? My problem is getting the shaft tight, I can shake mine.

My 53 super M does the same thing. I've been told about the check valves as well. The other advise I received from a knowlegeable man was that the cylinders could be leaking. They were used to store fluid on the low pressure side since there was not enough volume to run a loader in the reservoir alone. Would they both leak at the same rate.???

The cylinders could leak and cause same thing some cylinders were used as reservoir some not but could stil cause leak down if cylinder was not used for reservoir you would have external leak. As for same rate of leak down that is hard to say.

Rich The valves in the belly pump are ball valves and they can get groves in them over time and then they don't set good and leak. some people think the pressure relief can cause this but it can't because once the oil get past the left valve the relief is out of the system. There are to valves one for the fast drop and one for delaid drop if one has cultivator behind rear wheels you should look at both.
