The most common size tire used on the A and Super A these days is 11.2X24(old size 10x24). But 9.5x24 (old size 9x24) would not be uncommon. However, check your rims. The Farmall As could be had with 7x24, 8x24, or 9x24, or even a 10x24 rim. I think most As probably have 8x24 rims. Super As usually have 9x24 rims. I think the 11.2x24 tires will work ok with the 8 and 9 inch rims, but might be a little wide for the 7 inch rims.

You need to measure the rims to see what size they are. There were three avail.

Michael: The Farmall A and Super A came with 8 x 24, what we now call 9.5 x 24. As IH moved into the numbered series offsets 11.2 x 24 became the standard tire. Irregardless of what you want your tire should be matched to the rim, for best tire life and performance.

Michael;
I believe that the "A"s had 9-24s as stock but other sizes were available.

Don't worry about how big around it is. It will be 24". When they are talking about measuring your rim they mean the width inside of the bead.

GOOD LUCK

Michael, On the A and Super A the right wheel was a cast wheel and the left wheel was a stamped wheel. This was done to add weight to the right side of the tractor to compensate for some of the imbalance due to the off set engine.

Michael: If you notice the size on that tire it will likely say 9.5 x 24 on 8" rim. If you look at new 11.2 x 24 tire size it will say on a 10' rim.

Yes you have one wheel made of heavy cast, and is designed to be used on right to balance the offset tractor.
