I used the IH 2150 paint with hardner and it came out with an slight orange tint. I just painted the main body of the tractor and have all the sheet metal left.

Right now I am kind of dissappointed and not sure what to do.

Anyone else had this problem, and should I paint the rest of the tractor with the same paint??

I have to add, that the paint went on really well for a novice like me.

I spose I could go kick the cat then I might feel better.

My H after painting looked orange too. But I found out it was the artificial light. Look at in sunlight and see what you think. HTH, Mike

Terry, A couple years ago I bought a gallon of paint from the Case IH dealer and it must have been sitting on the shelf for a long time as a lot of the pigment was settled to the bottom. I would not have even noticed it except I poured the paint into another can and saw the layer on the bottom. I had to scrap the pigment off the bottom and thoroughly mix it with the rest of the paint to get the color right. Roger

Terry, I read another post somewhere in the last couple of weeks..... .man had the same problem as you.
After he solved the problem, he posted the "fix"
The "fix" was, as CNKS mentioned, the paint needed mixed.... the pigment had settled.

The problem with premixed paints is some pigment settles out. It has to be agitated before using. Hard telling how long it had been on the shelf. If the procedure in the post below doesn't work, buy another can, mix it thoroughly and give it another coat. Scuff the old paint before applying the new coat.
