I pull my Super M in the 5,750 and 6300 pound farm stock classes. I can easily power out in the 6850 weight class using a 16 inch drawbar height which is our clubs maximum for farm stock. No cut tires, no pressed wheels unless original. 14 inches minimum hitch point behind the PTO shaft. Does anyone else pull in a farm stock class? I am interested in your experiences in farm stock.

i have a freind with a 560 pulls in farm stock though its not quite stock (856 block, steel pressed wheels, stroked crank, etc etc, no hyd) most of his pulls have 20 in max drawbar height, he's got his drawbar directly under the pto, no cut tires, he likes new rubber, did best with 18.4-38 tires, switched to 16.9 and all the notes from the past years went out the window. barely gets into 5500, too light for the power, shines in 7500, not bad in 9500, never could talk him into 11500 but his advantage there is he'd be pulling against a lot of 1066's and they tend to stop when the pan drops. Some of the pulls he goes to they use a laser rangefinder to measure the pull, that very common elsewhere?

At most pulls, if you do a full pull in the lower class they will let you move up to a higher weight class after adding weight to stay competitive.
