Has anyone had the fun of pulling the cylinder heads off a TD-18A Crawler tractor? When I removed the first head I found pieces of broken rings on top of the pistons. Guess that's why she would not fire on No 1 cylinder. When I pulled the back head I found 2 more pistons with broken rings. Does anyone know where to start looking for parts for this engine? Some good used pistons would make it run again and a cylinder head gasket set would help. I would like to visit with somebody that has ever worked on this engine. I have a WD-6 in my tractor colection so I know the basic principle of what makes this engine Start and Run. The TD-18A is just larger, over twice the size of the WD-6. I need to take some pictures of this 6 cylinder 691 CID engine. It is huge. Thanks for the help.

Charlie, call Brian Guertin from LeSueur Co. Pioneer Power Dirt Gang 507-665-6158. He's in the process of rebuilding an 18 that his dad operated many years ago. He knows where to get parts, he knows about these rigs. Get yours ready to bring to the Red Power Rally at Pioneer Power Aug 22-24. Where you from?
