I was wondering how many quarts of oil the M engine took?? Also where is the best place to find a new oil filter? Do any of you guys know where a good place is to find an air filter for one too? Thanks for the help!

One more point, there are two different filters used on these. You might want to take yours along when you go to get one. I got the wrong one from IH. Don't think it goes by sn

See your friendly Case-IH dealer or NAPA store for the filter, make sure to get the new square-cut sealing ring with the filter. Be sure to dig the old one out and carefully clean the groove before installing the new seal ring.
You will need about 8 quarts to fill the crankcase, filter, & oil bath air cleaner.
Get a 12 pack of good detergent oil 30 weight for summer and you will do just fine plus there is some extra oil in case the engine uses a little.

8qt.----manual says -- above 80* = SAE 30 32* to 80*= SAE 20 below 32* SAE 10.....If you are playing with it I run SAE 20 year around.....You need a operators manual & service manual----- Binder Books (503)684-2024

Off the top of my head with filter five I think. If you want a oil bath salvage yard, for dry filter????? ??
