Guys,
I bought a freeman loader off of a 44 H to put on my 52 H. I think I got a good deal it was $300. cyl's need new seals and it is a trip bucket. My question is the loader has some type of hyd fluid in the hoses and cyl's and I have 30 weight non detergent in belly pump and three point. How do I get the fluid out of the loader hose's with quick couplings and the cyl's. Dont want to contaminate.
Chuck

Chuck: If the loader is single action and single hose to each cylinder and cylinders are fully retracted, the only place you will even have oil is in hose. If loader is two hose to each cylinder set up, and some of those were even though they were not dual action. Put loader on tractor and raise to full height with those return hoses in a pail to catch the oil. You could take cylinders off loader pull the ram from one end to other a few times, you will get exactly a 1/4 cup more oil out than other way.

Unless the 44 H it came off of had 2 way hyd. there would be none or nearly so in the cyls.
If it did have 2 way ,remove the couplers on both hoses and use a neighbors loader to raise and lower your loader .Remember tho that it will drain your belly pump to refill the cyls. if it has 2 way
