Has anyone run across a source for parts for the one-point fast hitch on a Farmall 100, 130, 140?

I need the latch dog and spring as well as the clevis that connects the pull bar to the bail.

IH advises these parts are no longer available. Thanks for any help,
Daniel

Daniel you need to find a dealer that has been in businessfor at least 30 to 40 years and was an IHC dealer not a Case dealer also an older parts person helps. The newer dealers may not have the old parts books and some tractors and equip are not on microfilm or computer. The dealer where I get parts has been in business since 1949. When I started trading there the parts man that is now retired would reach under the counter and get out the 756D book grin and tell me the book and I will quit about the same time.

Jimmy: To bad we couldn't give those guys eternal life. I have seen the old IH parts guy I dealt with for years, stand back and tell four separate farmers what options they had on their No. 60 trailer plows. Many many time I have stood at the counter, only to have him tell me my 560 had a 17 gallon hydraulic pump, or there was a check valve on rear hydraulic outlet of 656. I swear this guy had this all in his head, rarely have I seen him go to book other than to check part number. I sincerely hope these guys were well paid. I often wonder what they have nightmares about. I still wake up calculating how much N P or K is on my corn, or how much milk cow x gave and it's been 15 years.

Hugh believe it or not at this dealership there is a young man I would guess about 40 now that started at 17 under the other man and he is real good for a younger partsman. I do realize there is a lot more to cover now, but you are right a lot of these old parts men did not even have to look at the book A,SA,C,SC,B,H,SH,M,SM, 100, 200, 300,400, on up thru the 56 series. They just went back to the shelf and got it.

Daniel: I bought the spring from CaseIH dealer not more than 2 months ago. I asked about the latch dog and he quoted me a price, I assume he could get it. I opted for a scrap yard where I found one. The clevis is quite easily fabricated.
