Of the six tractors I have, I'm planning to sell this one. It is a '37 F-20 hand start with foot brakes.

By the way, all of these tractors except the L are examples of what we had when I was on the farm in Northern Illinois back in the early 50's.

All for the memories! :-)

This is a 1936 F-20 narrow tread. It has electric start, lights, generator, pto extension, foot brakes, and fenders.

I just put new tires on it with round spoke wheels.

Next is a '38 Case Model L. It has electric start and I think the color is original along with the lights. Just got this one a few months ago and have not got it running yet!

I'm not up to speed enough to post more than one at a time!

The first picture is my '45 H. This tractor started it all last fall. You may notice the block hasn't been painted (just got the engine overhauled).

The tractor in the background is a '37 F-20.

This is my 1938 F14. Lotta "incorrect" details on it, most notably the rear wheels, but hey, it's a worker, not a trailer queen.

Some of my most recent pictures of my tractors are grouped together in an album on my ISP. There are 17 pictures taken about a month ago. Click on any thumbnail to see a full sized picture. Only 10 of them are Farmalls.

OK, see, my ego was too big and the first post didn't work. I'll try this route.

Now I have no ego left at all. If anyone really wanted to see the picture my apologies.

Rich, It just proves you're a tractor man, not a computer man. :)

Thanks, Bill. But the irony is that I am more of a computer man than tractor man. I am responsible for the small computer network in our school. I think the problem with my picture has more to do with Geocities and how they allow links to work. And I knew that before but had forgotten it in the excitment of the request for pictures.
I am not a farmer. The tractor comes from my wife's side of the family. And although my son and I took it apart and got it unstuck, a good mechanic helped me paint it and put it back together. I mean the tractor was free. Were I to buy a tractor it would have been much smaller and much less complex. But don't get me wrong. I love the 9.

Rich,
I don't think your geocities site allows external links, so I just got the link by clicking properties on your first post, got the pic, downloaded it, took the size down about 60 per cent, then uploaded it and posted it here.

While we're having all this fun --

I took a pic of my H after I'd redone the sheetmetal, as I
figured it would never again look this good.

Thanks again, Steve. As you were doing all that for me I was replying to another post that I finally remembered Geocities does that. I don't blame them, I just had forgotten.
Your tractors are really great. I love how the green JD 60 looks with the red H. I was seriously tempted to buy a JD A last summer to go with my 9 but soon learned that a JD R would be the actual green match. So I am looking.

Rich,
Might be easier to find a JD 80, which is also a close match. The problem with JD's in general and JD standard model tractors in particular is that the price of any given part seems to be 20 to 50 per cent higher when it's painted green or yellow. Case in point - the H and a JD B use exactly the same rear rim. If it's painted yellow instead of silver, it costs more!

As for my sin of mixing colors, these are the same two models we had when I was a kid in the 50's; and the ones I first learned how to drive (H first, then the 60). I think of my two old guys as my time machines, 'cause when I climb on them, it might as well be 1955 all over again.

Good luck in finding another tractor that trips your trigger. Have a good 4th!

Steve
