I have the origional throttle on my H, I was wondering if I should oil, grease or just leave the notches alone?

Get to Tractor Supply as quick as you can and get a friction throttle lever. Save the old one for future restoration etc. Best move you can make

The newer OEM style have notches instead of saw teeth, works much better, and looks much better, in my opinion, than the friction control--I have both on my tractors.

A dab of oil or grease on the lever OPPOSITE THE NOTCHES will help it slide smoothly.
Nothing on the notch area itself, please.

If you use a heavy black grease your laundry woman will love you.

Leave them alone! As they wear, you will have enough trouble keeping the notch in the grooves without oil.
