I am experiencing an oil leak coming from above the pan cover at the rear of the hydraulic unit.I removed the pan cover and noticed that someone has used silicone around the piece that bolts to the transmission where the shaft extends out that drives the Hydraulic pump. Is there a seal and a gasket that can be replaced? The fluid leaking is not hydraulic its transmission/differential oil.
I may just remove the hydraulic pump being I don't use it. Oil leak is pretty steady while driving the tractor. Any feedback regarding fixing this leak appreciated.

The shaft that connects to the lift-all pump has a cotter pin at each end..... .if these are removed does the shaft slide out? Do the couplings where the cotter pins are located slide on the shaft??

There is a seal in that housing that is in the front of the transmission. If you remove the lift-all it will be pretty easy to repair. There is a drive coupling that you will need to remove from the shaft that comes out of the transmission and it just unscrews. It is usually kind of tight but it will come off. (right hand threads)

The part you are talking about is called the transmission countershaft, your case-I.H. dealer will have the parts you need, it will be 2 seals instead of one, like original.
To remove the coupling, you will need a pipe wrench and a cheater bar about 2-3 ft. long, put the tractor in 5th. gear, set the brakes, and block the rear wheels. Mine was pretty tough to break loose.
