What's the secret to free up a frozen, stuck left brake pedal. The shaft appears to be bound up where it goes through the tube. Have tried the usual WD-40 and Kroil every couple weeks for a few months without any success. What other form of magic works? THX

Had the same problem. Ended up having to use lots of heat from the torch and a 5lb hammer. You will have to disconnect the brake rod and drive the shaft out thru the clutch peddle which is what is frozen to the shaft. Had soaked it in Kroil and PB Blaster for weeks with no results.

After I finally got it apart and cleaned up good I put it back together with pleanty of "Anti Seize".

Joe, I use PB blasted an WD40 to free up parts, I tape on the frozen part while treating it. I also put some pressure on the part from time to time, brake pedal an the such I take off with a wheel puller. Take your time an the pedal will come free, it didn't rust over night an beleive me it won't come off easy either :o) good luck

Joe,
It took me a week or so, soaking in Liquid Wrench.
When I got it apart, I found the shaft had worn out, and someone had used thin brass strips to build it back up. It was seized pretty good, so you have to show patience. I also applied a bit of pressure each day before re-soaking.
