I have a farmall 140, runs great except uphill. I have replaced electricals...cap,rotor,plugs,condenser,wires,coil. runs fine on flat ground but on a hill runs for about 2 min. and then stalls. checked carb and everything looked ok and float was not stuck.
any help would be greatly appreciated

Check your gas, the fuel comes out of the front of the tank. I can drive my anywhere but when the tank gets below a 1/4 tank or so I have had to back up hills or take them at an angle. Agervating little problem for a great tractor.

Jim: My first reaction is gas, your float may not be stuck, but may not have right level. It may need some adjustment.

The other item I have seen is, worn distributor shaft giving end play in the shaft. I had a similar problem with a Super A; rough ground, hills, a jolt, etc. it would stop. Distributor shaft was quite loose and I sent to CaseIH dealer and had it rebuilt. I understand there is no bushing when new but this is how they rebuild them. Results the tighter shaft cured my problem.

How to tell which is problem: if it sputters its gas, if it just stops probablty fire.
