The hydraulics that is. I've been using my 'H' with it's bucket for months now and always assumed that it did not have live hydraulics. If I wanted to raise the bucket I had to put it in neutral and let out the clutch. Today as I was carrying a load in the bucket it started going up.
I played around with it to see if I was imaginging things and sure enough it kept working 'live'. What happened?

If your H has a pump in front of the distributer it is live, if it only has the belly pump they are "dead". Also live if someone added a pump beside the fan. Not live if it has a pto driven pump.

Well if you were carrying a load, I would assume that meant that the tractor was moving, as long as the clutch is out, in gear moving, or out of gear sitting, the pump will work.
