I have a '44 Farmall A. The curved pipe that holds the steering shaft has a hole that the shaft passes through. There is a lot of play in it, the hole is much bigger than the shaft. Is there supposed to be a bushing in it. If so where can I find one? Thanks, everyone.

Larry

Thanks Dave and Aces, the reason I thought it might have a busing is because the part has a grease fitting. The part that is bolted to the curve pipe is replacable, but what's up with the grease fitting. As you say Dave, it is probably worn and will need to be built up again. Thanks for the help.

If I'ts the part I think your discribing it is replaceable. It should be bolted on to the "curved pipe." You may have to build up the steering shaft with a welder and turn it back to size to get a tight fit. My BN a '44, sn 97860. Dave.
