Hi all I am in need of your expertise once again. I have a 7' sickle bar mower for a C and it is axle mount. I need the IH number of this dude.
I can't find any refference to a 6' sickle bar, mower which is what it actually measures, so I am assuming it is a 7footer?
Am I correct in this assumption?I need to find parts for it but I am not sure exactly what it is I have.
Where on the mower would one find a serial number.
thanks again in advance.

Hi, if you send me a picture of your mower I might have a operators manual for it. I have one to a rear mounted, bolt on style sickle mower. I am also looking for some used guards for a mower I am restoring. The ledger plates need not be any good but the guard itself needs to be intact/unbroken. They need to have the number MA, MB, or MC 2041 on them. If you can help out let me know. Let me know about the manual. Regards, Terry

DanWV IH would use the same mower with differnt mounts. #16 was used on the A, B, H, and M, so would stand to reason that it would fit a C. I have never any ID numbers on my #16. Most part numbers on mine are from a #16. They came with 5,6, and 7ft bars. Have seen a couple with a 9ft bars. There should be part numbers on the big parts. E-mail me as I have a parts/owners manual if I can be of any help. Morgan

Dan: Your mower is from the description you give, most likely a Model No. 16. These were biult between 1939 and 1953 and had various hardware mounting for A, B or C tractors. A quite a number of them were 6 foot cut.

So I guess I'm not the only person that wants to put the original mounted equipment on their C! I have found my #16 to be very useful, and parts are available at your local Tractor Supply store. I got a new pitman arm, and enough sections to rebuild my sickle, and WOW!! this thing really cuts. I've only used it on short grass out back so far, but I think next week I am going to clip the wheat stubble around the edges of our fields to clean them up. I can't wait. Anybody know where I could find the two-row mounted corn planter and fertilizer attachment for a C? I have a classified ad out, but haven't gotten any responses, so I thought I'd ask around. Thanks.

I have a two row mounted planter for a Farmall C that needs some work but I'll sell cheap.
